The corner parts of the phone (particularly the bottom left and right) have absolutely no response when i try to use the phone in portrait mode.  I have calibrated the device multiple times and have reached no solution.  This gets really annoying when trying to use MEDIAnet's web browser (as you press the bottom right to enter a new address) and with several games that require you to "press yes/no on the bottom left/right of the screen to enable volume"...otherwise you simply can't play.

Am i the only one with this problem?  Any help/suggestions is greatly appreciated.

I found a quick way around it...just rotate the phone towards the side of the button.

I will still go to AT&T and see whether this is a defect or not.

Thanks for your help.

I've noticed that as well.  I find that using a stylus is somewhat effective.

It might be a design flaw, or a programming flaw (putting a tiny button in a tough-to-reach corner)

Agreed.  I tend to have to use my nail in these areas.

I have had some of the same problems with my Mythic and also Impression. The buttons that are in the very corners of the screens are very hard to get to. The best way that I've delt with this is to use my nail near the very corner to press the buttons. A stylus might help greatly.

hey guys i found a quick fix for this, click menu, settings, phone, calibration..find something like a pen or preferably a stylus to get to exact point in the cross hairs, save the new calibration and everything should be fine, havent had a problem clicking things with my fingers since..hope it helps

RunUlm is right. I don't have to push nearly as hard in the corners. My fingernail and my screen thank you Smiley

That is a great idea to calibrate with a stylus, I had not thought of that.  I too have had issues with lower left and right in some applications like webmail.  I do think however it is poor design of the application to have such a small button in an area just at the end of the touch screen.  I am a software developer and I wish I could develop in J2E cause I would probably fix some of those deficiencies.

Sometimes when I touch my screen it picks it up somewhere else. For instance when I'm texting and push an "r" my phone will pick it up as an "f"  or another letter. This happens occasionally but usually goes away eventually. I have a lock on my phone and I can't get in without typing in the pin, which I cant do because the screen isn't working.   Embarrassed Any suggestions?

Make sure your T9 predictive text is turned off. It has a bad habit of trying to change your text to something you did not type.
