Message tones can be different per caller
-To change message tone go to contacts then pick name you want to change tone
-select edit
-select more fields
-scroll down and select message tone
-click add
-now click on message tone and add a tone or pick a special tone of your own then add
-now save

Voicemail message can't be different per caller (I don't think) but can be changed
-go to settings
-go to sound profile
-select normal
-top right select message
-change message alert tone
-save

^^^^There is a setting in the phone to silent the phone...
go to menu..

settings...

profile....click the one you want to change, (normal).

and just like before, go to the drop down box in the top right. and click on PHONE....

then the setting for PHONE SOUND VOLUME.....has where you can scroll it from 0 to 7....put it at 0...save and then you are done. Smiley

For changing message ring tone I'm not seeing more fields when I click on edit, is it hiding from me?

-After you press edit select add more fields

-select message tone then press add

-Now select message tone and add a predefined tone or a special tone of your own

i see that i can set different tones for message alerts/ per caller......but is there a way (if possible) that i can set 1 ringtone for ALL my text alerts, no matter what caller/#?? i'm just wondering cause i get alot of alerts sent to my phone from shorty numbers & the default tone is kind of annoying. hopefully someone has figured out how to to this  Grin

I'm also trying to figure out how to turn the tone off for sent messages.  Does anyone have a fix for this other than silencing the phone?
