Has anyone messed around with the GPS?

I was browsing through the internals one day (in the very merry month of January), and noticed that you can apparently change the data sent by the GPS from just location, to location + speed and location+speed+altitude. I lacked the cajones to actually make the change...don't want to brick my phone over something stupid.

Has anyone made any use out of this stuff yet? Perhaps someone could write a "Oops, I feel out of an airplane!" app. Grin

After a bit of searching (on other topics, actually), I found this on the impression forum.

No idea if the settings work better or not (as I haven't had a chance to test them), but I didn't brick the phone, so that's a good start Wink

Changing the settings didnt help my connection on my impression. It connects pretty quick.

Impression is set by default to standalone yet it still uses the cell towers to get a connection. So I am not sure if that will help. You might be able to get altitude and speed though.
