Unlock Mythic for use on other Networks

You will need to get an unlock code, which is dependent on your particular phone's IMEI Number. You MAY be able to get the code from AT&T or you may have to obtain one from another third party unlocker.

You can find by your IMEI number by looking on the box for your phone, typing *#06# on your phone, or by removing your battery and looking on the back panel.

Once you have acquired an unlock code for your Samsung Mythic, follow the instructions below.

1. Turn off your phone
2. Remove the SIM card.
3. Turn the phone back on.
4. Dial #7465625*638*[UNLOCK CODE]#
    In the place of [UNLOCK CODE] use the code provided for your phone.
    The unlock code should be 8 numbers in length.
5. If successful, you should receive a message saying "Network Lock Deactivated".

NOTE: After entering the first asterisk, you will not be able to see what you are typing so BE CAREFUL. You only have 10 attempts to unlock the phone before the phone is locked to its current network.

Is there any advantage for this if I'm going to stay with AT&T? I've heard some say unlocking is good for traveling and when I vacation in Maine there's this one specific place where my phone says its "roaming" and I have no signal what so ever. Will unlocking give me signal there?
