Was just curious if there were others out there. Finally someone else is attempting to make or edit widgets. I can send you my template for simple browser shortcut widgets if you want it. But it seems you should be able to adapt the ones that I already made.

Thanks, I already made a template out of your widget I will have new "news" widgets done soon. They are hacked off of the CNN widget and have all of the features, full stories, select other feeds from site, go to site, that the original had. I am working on a Reuters and an ESPN (because someone mentioned it) right now but would love suggestions for phone friendly RSS sites. Some that I want to make are really bad for phones. I read the Guardian but their RSS is terrible. When it goes to the story from the headline the story is like 12 pages long. When I tested it it nearly crashed the phone. Reuters has news RSS optimized for phones (espn does too) Good headlines, short body, more if you click through to the browser. Let me know if you know any good sites -Don

Hi All,
Here is the ESPN widget someone asked for.
Navigation is the same as the CNN widget. (Top Stories scroll in initial small windows, tap to open stories, tap category title to get feed list, select feed, home button goes to ESPN). ESPN has a ton of feeds so I just included the most popular ones (I think) If you really want a different feed and cant change the code yourself then let me know and I'll make it for you.
BTW ESPN's "Soccer News" feed sometimes returns malformed xml so if it hangs reload it.
I imagine that this will work on the other similar phones so if a mod wants to cross post this there that might be good. You might test it first though.
Anyway, more widgets soon...
-Don

Hi,
A widget is just a .zip file renamed to .wgt.
As long as what you've got in the .zip is what is needed to make a widget then just rename it, simple as that.

Hi all, I have read the forums but I am a little confused about the whole widget thing. I have all the widgets from Agoattamers pac1 and pac2 and was wondering if there is a way to install these using the TKFE method or if it has to be done using media net. Also after they are installed are they displayed on the widget bar? A step by step tutorial would be great!
Thanks

The only way to install the widgets is how is posted. They cannot be installed with TKFE as of yet.

I put the pin widget up on the impression forum. You can install it with the pin widget link. Then you can use the pin widget from now on. But it doesnt matter. Both the link and the widget are both using data on the internet. The pin widget is just a shortcut on the phone.

After you upload the widget to the innovator site click on pin and it gives you the pin number to enter in the pin link.

Can you make a browser shortcut that just opnes the browser but does not go to a specific web site? Kind of like "about: blank" in IE. I want to add this shorcut as a menu item. Any requests for browser shortcuts let me know. Thats all Im able to make right now. Just install what you need because we cant delete the ones you don't want. I test each before I put them up.
