hey, i would love to find out that. What i want to do is create icons for the apps or games which i have installed. For example there was a shortcut for bejeweled in the 2nd menu.
IN the meanwhile if anyone finds out to create icons for preinstalled or installed apps or games, please share i would love to know.

It appears as if you can add icons to the menu if they are listed on the "menu items". If any of the better programmers know how to get the file on th menu item list then you can make a icon on the main menus for it.

Love to have that option as well, unfortunately it hasn't been figured out yet The firmware for our phone would go a long way to figuring new things out , but that will be a HARD thing to come by.

Dont know if this has been posted. I went ahead and replaced the att.net browser with the new opera mini 5 browser and it opens from the "Mobile Web" Icon in the main menu. I just renamed the .jar and .jad files to MobileWeb. In the .jad file, change MIDlet name to Mobile Web and add the MIDlet certificate portion from the original .jad. Just replace those 2 files and works great.

I read vdubskey's post on substituting Opera for MobileWeb, but I am kind of confused: can anyone clarify the "add the MIDlet certificate portion from the original .jad" and the "replace those 2 files" parts? 1) What is the original .jad? is it the MobileWeb .jad or the Opera .jad? and do i copy+paste or do i cut+paste? 2) What, specifically, are the 2 files that i need to replace? Thanks.

Replace the .jad, and .jar in the Mobile Web folder, with the .jad, and .jar from Opera Mini.
As for the certificates. You'll need to replace the certificates in Opera Mini with MobileWeb's certificates to get everything to work properly.

Copy them and paste.
Here is opera 5 edited correctly to replace as mentioned above. This should make things much easier.

This did not work for me. It would launch from the Mobile Web in the applications menu but not from the main menu icon. I would click it and nothing would happen. I used your files and just replaced them in the folder and then did the update thing on the phone and still only launched form the applications menu. Did I not do something right or are your files not right? Also is this the newest version of Opera and how can I retain my links and favorites when doing this with the current opera installed on my phone? Thanks
