Phone restarts

LOL ,kinda weird. Both of our phones have done this a few times over several months
Don't know what to tell you, happened while doing different things. Seems kind of random.

No pattern, rhyme or reason? Cant fix what you cant catch.

I have only owned mine for 3 days and its restarted twice, both under the same circumstances.  My text alert went off, I unlocked the phone, hit "read" on the widget, and then everything went black, and next thing I know I see the loading bar at the beginning of power up. 

Honestly its not that big of a deal... yet anyway.  If its just a random error that occurs every now and then then whatever, but I had another phone that randomly restarted occasionally, my Sony Ericsson z750a, and at first it was minor, eventually it got to the point where the phone was basically bricked because it couldn't go more than 5 minutes without restarting!

Is this just a ramdon error, or should I be making a warrenty claim now?  I'm not going to be happy if I have to make a claim, since i just spent $20 getting an invisible shield put on.

So being the tech guy I am I tweaked with my phone a bit and haven't had an issue since.  I thought about it, and I thought "why would a computer randomly restart?"  I was thinking memory.  I had the Yahoo search and MSNBC widget active, which seemed to slow the phone down, so I disabled those.  I also had SFX on, and i turned them off.  The phone seems to run faster now and it hasn't rebooted since.  Also the keyboard isn't lagging anymore either.
