Generic data cable?

Haven't tried.
They aren't that much so you may want to give it a try.
I've used the eternity with a generic (but made for eternity) usb cable and it didn't
like to connect.

Did your mythic not come with one ?

I am not certain of the correct names for different connectors ...but ... I know that the eternity connection is different than the mythic. Have both phones in the family. And I know for a fact the mythic and flight are the same.  I believe the eternity is "probably" the same as the solstice, impression and that group of phones/hardware.

Brainiak posted while I was typing, I had several razrs and believe it is in fact the same connection as the mythic. Probably a bunch of old razr cables & chargers around, maybe ask some friends.

Well just to clarify, the popular Razr phones (like razr v3) do not have the same connector as the mythic. I had the second generation of razr called the Razr² v9 and they use the same connector as the mythic. I use the same charger and the cables, even though I got both with my mythic also.

The mythic and the razr² uses the connector on the right in the image below. The old razr phones use the connector on the left.
