I'll move it to a certain place on my screen, but as soon as I receive a call or text, it just goes wherever it chooses.

Just tell it to "stay there".
This of course hasn't worked for me yet, but your widget may listen  Grin

LOL so far this is the only thing Im not liking! Its nice to have a little reminder thing, but I want it to stay put! Then when I get a text it moves off to the top right somewhere... at least center when you pop up please!
